Please know that with this work you have transformed the future for many. Eliminating discriminatory exclusions in coverage and ensuring
access to these life-saving services will mean that those transgender
individuals who need such services will be able to move forward with
their lives.
This is also a smart decision that will be a positive for everyone: it is expensive to deny coverage for needed services since it so often means people's needs go untreated or inadequately treated, resulting in mounting health care costs for other services.
Kudos to the coalition for ensuring that coverage is at a level that appears to match the plans offered to UC employees generally!
